On the beautiful islands of Santo lives Ratua Private Island, an eco resort set over 146 acres of coconut plantations and surrounded by pristine turquoise waters. Ratua Private Island offers a unique experience for visitors with 200 year old Indonesian villas shipped to the island and reconstructed on RatuaIsland. The island accommodates families and couples in a relaxed environment with plenty to do or an escape to unwind and do nothing but enjoy the tranquil surrounds.
The island is set into three separate villages – FishVillage, West Point Village and South Point Village accommodating 15 Indonesian style villas. These villas vary in sizes and accommodate 2, 4 or 5 guests. The villas are a feature of the resort made up of eclectic, vintage pieces of furniture, timbers and decorative items. Each has private beach access and spacious decks.
There are numerous activities available from horse riding, mountain bike riding, or for the less energetic days take a horse drawn carriage or golf buggy tour of the island. Snorkel the reefs immediately off the beach and swim with turtles and a massive variety of fish. Canoe, paddle a local outrigger, fish, try your hand at archery, or relax in the spa.
A 10 minute drive from Santo airport to Luganvlle township then an easy 30 minute boat trip across.
Accommodated year round. There is no official kids club but baby sitting is available at a charge.
A charming mix of rustic luxury for those who want plenty to do with the option of doing nothing at all!
